A Members Story: Ken Mang
Ken was born in Brampton. Finishing High School, he decided a career in computers was the way of the future, so, he spent two years at Sheridan College, diligently studying the world of 0’s and 1’s. Sadly, the choice was a good one, only to discover he was about a decade too early for the profession!
So at the ripe old age of 19, Ken joined the Brampton Police where he would spend the next 31 years. This would lead to time spent in many serious departments of law enforcement.
Following a distinguished career in law enforcement, Ken would spend thirteen years with the Ministry of Finance, as an investigator.
In 2017, Ken and his wife moved to Monterra at Blue Mountain. Sadly , Ken’s wife passed away in 2024, after 47 years of marriage.
Ken is an enthusiastic golfer, likes British sports cars, especially his own 69 MGB and is Chair of the Membership Committee here at Probus.
Thanks Ken for sharing with us!
